I've just started working thru this resource, and there is so much to it.

I was curious if anyone has looked into bringing a movement feature with the turn based battle system. Something that would incorporate grid and movement strategies into the turn based combat.

  • Phase battles would probably be the closest to what you're thinking of, but GiL hasn't gotten to add the Movement event steps to it just yet.

  • You can set up the system to allow movement in any battle system type. But stuff like grid movement like in tactical RPGs isn't yet in there as a command in battle.

    But it's on my list :)

  • Is it easy to allow movement in the battle system.
    Got an idea where I should watch?
    Or do I have to do everything in Battle Events?
  • Allowing movement in battle is easy - there's already a setting to not block the player (or camera) controls.
    Getting a Move command to the battle menu and move that way is more complicated ...
