How can I make the enemies vanish gradually after dying? My enemies so far turn to black and puff... vanish. I don't like that. I what to make like a PS1 FF game.
You'll need a shader that supports transparent/alpha shading for your enemy's prefab (renderer/material). Once you've got that, you can fade out the enemy using the Fade Object step (similar to how it's done in the game tutorial) by fading the color's alpha value.

You'd either need to change the material of the enemy at runtime (may cause performance/prefab issues? Never tried it in unity because it sounds pretty messy) and then animate the alpha as GiL said, or just find a shader that supports transparency/opacity to begin with. I'm not sure if the unity toon shader does.
no it dont you would need to do what @Kirb said an change the material at run time or convert the toon shader to support transparency. im sure if you search around on unity forums someone might have done this already. or least figure out how to go about adding it.
Uhm if you use Blink Event (start blinking) and you set time for blinking the double of time you need to perform death action? SO you should have the prefab changing to fading but it will not have time to complete the cycle. Could it work?
@Kaemalux not in this case hes trying to fade them out of the battle it self after they dye kinda like a sink under the map type deal but fading them out instead
