is it not possible to start a battle event from makinom? seems i can only bring up game events....

    No - and it's also not possible to start battle events from game events :)

    Battle events are only started by battle actions, i.e. using abilities, items, etc.
    So, it's only allowed to call battle events from other battle events in the event system.

    you plan to allow this to be possible from makinom? so that makinom can control the player fully. cant map left or right click to ability's with out being able to do this...

  • problem is if you make a controller with makinom the way the animations will work will collide with each other. i tried to do just that an seems that one will overwrite the other. like say i use ork for my movement an then i want to use makinom to control how the player is able to attack so they can use there basic attack anywhere to break stuff ect.... the animations wont play all the time or get stuttered cause ork is controlling the movement... but being able to use your basic attack any where to break barrels an stuff is a good thing. problem is when doing this you would need to set the range of the ability.... then you lose any way of just attacking.. (thats if you do it with ork) now with makinom in the mix you can use your basic attack any where an from the interaction if possible you could call the battle event... to do the actual damage while in a battle zone and or field with easy of use since your not being restricted.. unless im missing something in ork that allows this anywhere with out it attacking everything on the map..cause i havent found a way to do this yet with ork even if i mark everything field an real time battles... an if i set the use of the ability which runs the attack at a far distance it ends up not working right.

  • also for my fps game im using makinom to do all the shooting, movement an such i have a whole system being worked out just for this... but unless i can call a battle event from the attack to apply damage ill have to do it manually an lose all calculations from ork and the damage being done using the damage dealers.

  • No, you couldn't, even if you could use the attack in Makinom. Those actions are integrated into the battle system, firing them from Makinom wouldn't change that (and battle events need actions to work, which are fired by the battle system).

    If you want your attack to work outside of battle to use them whenever you want, you need to set them up for that (i.e. usable in Both) and also set the control map up for that.

    However, I could allow using the Use Ability Calculation and Use Item Calculation in game events - that way you can do the calculation stuff of abilities/items set up in the user/target changes.

  • will this allow to use orks stats to apply damage from makinom (sorry little confused as to what this will do )? or can you just not apply damage from makinom at all when dealing with ork... like in my above statement if im using makinom to fully control the player (ie.. attacks ect) is there no way to do this? cause i would hate to have to trash a weapon system i made in makinom...cause i was planing on ork doing the fundamentals such as equipping, stats ect an makinom doing the movement firing ect

    cause i thought that it would work as long as you had the auto damage dealer checked in the battle event... or would it be possible to call the ability?

  • You can't do this directly, you'll in any case have to go through calling an ORK game event.

    I'll look into adding new ORK event steps to allow firing actions in game events, but that's no guarantee that they'll actually be used - that's up to the combatant and battle system (e.g. can the combatant use the action now, etc.).

  • yeah im mainly looking at a real time battle area cause ill be spawning everything with ork as is. but yeah firing actions from game events would rock thanks GIL!
