when using a trigger collision will the shape cast still do its thing like a normal raycast? only reason i ask is cause i spawn my bullets to my weps and want to do a check from a shape cast since raycast wont work in this sense

also i still havent been able to get a trigger machine to work with anything but the player any chance you could tell me the settings on the machine i need for this please thanks

  • Shapecasts and raycasts both need colliders to recognize something - doesn't matter if it's a trigger or not.

    Enable Start By Other in the trigger machine's Start Settings. You can add additional checks (e.g. for name or tag) to only start the machine by specific other game objects.
