In turn based battles,
when my DoT status effects reduce a combatant to 0 HP at turn start or turn end, the death event does not play, and the combatant's prefab is not destroyed.

Also, under this circumstance, the combatant's death flag becomes true, but the battle text (i.e. "Bob has died") does not play. Status effects are removed as if the combatant had died. The ORK console does not record the combatant's death.
Finally, the battle cannot end if a combatant is in this pseudo dead state.

If the damage is applied immediately (i.e., on "apply") the death event plays normally.

I'm using version 2.11.0

For now I'll try using a Formula to prevent DoTs from reducing a combatant to 0 HP.

  • Can you give me more details on your turn based battle settings?
    E.g. turn based mode, death immediately, etc.

  • I had "Death Immediately" disabled; enabling it has solved the problem.
