I followed the tutorial on creating a GUIBox using the Legacy UI. But I kinda hit a dead end with the new UI mode. For Instance , If I wanted a Button in my GUIBox using the new UI, should I just simply drop a Sprite Prefab, or should I create a Button Prefab with the Sprite as the Image and drop that prefab?

  • Keep in mind, that you will need a lot of trial and error till you get the UI you want, just keep patient.

    Now for your question, what I do is having a Button prefab with the sprite as the image.
  • Check out the how-to on using the new UI. Also check out the basic UI prefabs you can download there, they might help you on how you need to set up which prefabs.
