I can successfully move and fight with exactly one member of my party. I have set up my party such that only one representative combatant appears when in the field, and the player can switch through the party members when walking around. Whichever combatant happens to be displayed when entering the combat is considered the active player, and is the only one who can act.

Is there an example somewhere that can explain how to add actions to all of my OTHER player combatants (who are correctly placed when battle starts)? I'm specifically looking for grid battle tips!!

Are you adding combatants to players group or as ally's ?
Do you have AI controlled turned on in combatant settings?

If it's player group and AI turned off, combatants should appear in Grid combat automatically.
