Hey there,

I'm trying to setup respawn timers, but noticed that after a battle is over with a combatant the object with the combatant spawner gets deleted. Not sure if it's influence of some other script or some misconfiguration in the combatant settings.

We spawn max 1 combatant per combatant spawner, randomly in one of the waypoints. Battle takes place in another scene.

Here's the combatant settings:

Any idea?

Thanks,

  • Well, you've got Use Scene ID enabled - this is a system to have battles appear only once. Disable id and the spawner should stay and respawn combatants.

Indeed, the battle spawn objects now stays. The problem is now that the the mob immediately respawns after the battle and not after the time such as indicated in the respawn timer.
I think this is due to the battle taking place in another scene. Or the way the respawn timer works, for example, takes in account the time spent in battle.
    Currently on ork version 2.17.1.
This is the battle victory event which reloads the scene after battle: https://i.imgur.com/uh2iEuJ.png

The only thing I changed from above was disabling the Use Scene ID as you indicated.

  • I think enabling Remember Combatants should handle this.
