I was wondering if it's at all possible to set up a combat system in ORK that plays similar to Parasite Eve/Vagrant Story? (i.e: the player is free to move around the battle map and dodge attacks, but must wait for their timebar to fill to perform their attack/magic commands.)

I see there are options for both active time and real time battles, but I was unsure if any of these could be combined in any way, or if there were options in either to make this battle scenario achievable.

  • Use the Active Time battle system and allow the player control (and move AI for AI controlled combatants like enemies) during battle. The Control Block Settings and Move AI Settings in Battle System > Active Time Battles handle that.
