Enemy Distance in Turn Based Battles

I'm going through the tutorials and have hit another snag: the distance between player spots and enemy spots is too great, when switching to the battle view camera, the combatants are just outside the range of the camera. Where do I change the distance between player and enemy?

    Go to the Battle System Tab in ORK and select "Battle Spots" from the list on the left.

    There you can change the cordinates of each combatant.

    What are those coordinates relative to, the battle center?

    You probably already figured it out, but yeah, the center.
