hi, i got a couple of questions.
1. how can i auto close the battle end gains?
i want it to auto close within a specified time.

2. how can i perform a moving attack?
like if you are moving then you pressed attack.
i want a different animation instead of using the base attack combo.

3. how can i auto close the inventory after using the item?
like the one you used in Demo 4 when you press "i"

  • your first question is simply done with the battle end event just set it to auto close with a timer on it

    your second question is all set up in the tutorial for real time battles just follow it an change your animations as you want..........

    your third question is simply done by clicking on close after use in your inventory screen.

    1. im using real time battle so i don't have any battle end event.
    im using Battle System>Battle End to display when my character level's up.
    i dont know how to auto close it.

    btw, i tried placing a battle end event but it doesn't display anything.
    even the game over text.

    2. i didnt see it in the tutorial, just to make it clear.
    i want a different animation/action to play when im moving eg. w,s,a,d and tap the attack button. not just the ordinary attack animation that i already have.

    i have a slight idea about using combo keys, but i cant get it to work.

    3. i checked the close after use and use screen combatant in my Menus>Menu Screens>Inventory.
    but it does not auto close the gui box, i need to tap the input key again to close it.
    after selecting w/c item i want to use it just grays out the selection but doesn't close it.

    btw, the potion and magic potion is set to target type>self

    4. another problem i have is how can i position the ok/cancel buttons?..
    it always display it on the center of my hud.
    i want it to be on the lower left corner.

    btw, this is when i try to press the exit button while on pause ingame.
    is there a way to move the ok/cancel button?..

  • the ok cancel buttons can be moved by using the x y postions in the ok/cancel part of the gui box for y up its - for x left its - so say you wanted to go from bottom of the screen when its anchor is set to say bottom right youd just type in y position -220 or somthign along those lines. you will just have to keep hitting play an testign to see where it ends up an adjusting it till its were you want it.


    read through this tut http://orkframework.com/game-tutorial/2013/11/12/24-battle-end-events/ and follow it to the T dont skip out on anything...an it should help with your results screen..

    then read through this or again and follow it to the T http://orkframework.com/game-tutorial/2013/12/11/33-real-time-battles/

    and if your using real time battles id suggest using a shortcut bar for your actions this way you dont have to keep going through the menu just make your items drag able so that you can place them in the short cut bar. my best suggestion would be to read through the howtos http://orkframework.com/tutorials/howto/ as well since theres alot of info that isnt gone over there thats not in the game tut's if this dosent help you will most likly have to wait till GIL to answer you

    about number 1, i followed ot to the 'T'
    it works on other battle system but NOT in real time battle.
    fyi, what i wanted is to remove the ok button on the button and have it auto close..

    number 2, i read the tutorial again it doesnt say anything about what i wanted.
    what i need is a walk+attack=running attack.
    what the tutorial expalins is the normal attack button, i want it to be separate ability.
    maybe what i need is the combo key but i cant seem to get it working.

    number 3, still doesnt auto close, i dont want a shortcut bar.
    what i wanted is the inventory/use like this Demo 4

    number 4, i got it working now thanks.

    maybe ill wait for GiL, thanks for the help.

    I have the same question about how to close the Battle Gains notification automatically after say 2 minutes.

    Using Real Time Battles, it really gets frustrating for a player if they're being attacked and they have to close a menu. In Wizzard Island I just left the notification out and left the player to check what he got. But that's not the most best way, imho. : )

    Battle Texts have an Autoclose box--think this should too. : )

  • 1) Will look into it - I don't think there's a setting for this in Real Time Battle Areas.

    2) Use a 2nd ability as moving attack where you play your moving attack animation. Set up a Control Map and enable the Use Speed setting in the control key for your attack. This allows you to set a Minimum Speed the combatant must move at to trigger the attack.

    3) Seems like a problem with target self items, will look into it :)

  • Thanks very much! The inability for the Level Up/Battle Gains to auto close in Real Time Battles is a real problem as you always have to watch your back for Enemies Attacking and it gets exceptionally frustrating to have to close any menu while you're trying to stay alive.

    about number 2, can i add it on my attack control map?..
    and add my ability with use speed 1 and place it on control key 0?

    should i also add it on my weapon attack?..
