• Hm ... well, generally, there's the Battle Range and Battle AI Range that's handling if a combatant can perform actions (both in Battle System > Battle Settings).
    You can also give the enemy an AI Timeout or set a general AI Decision Time to have pauses between AI actions of combatants.

  • Hm, your battle range and AI range are pretty small and would only allow actions around 3-4 world units around your player.

    Ok. How do I stop the boar and werewolf from attacking out of range? please. Based on my settings.

    also: does anyone know where I can host my game for free and make it play for free? I will not charge for my game, and I want a permanent place people can download it from the internet. Please. I will not try to put it on steam , i'm looking for just a place to host a download of my game. Should I put it on onedrive? I have a onedrive server, but not sure if it would be good for hosting my exec. Should I make it a downloadable installer exec. file? It is for windows. Please

    This has a max file size of 750 mb.at itch.io... my project is like 50 gigs. I just found out onedrive's size limit for an exec is 10gb,. I don't know what to do, my exec is going to be too big. It might be 40gb but it is still too large.

    edit: i am going to see if i zip it if it goes down in file size.

    Does anyone know how to fix this error? I tried googling it and cannot find a solution. Here is the error when i try to build the complete game.

  • Based on your settings they shouldn't even be able to attack when farther away than 3 world units (i.e. the battle range). Or 6 world units (the AI range) ... well, the 4 second AI range check timeout might lead to them being able to attack for another 4 seconds, but afterwards the shouldn't be able to do so ...

    I think I'll need a test Unity project to help you further.

  • Is your build 50gb? or your Unity Project?? How is that?
  • Thanks GiL I will play with those settings. The battles are fine, it is just that I have to be a little too close to hit them. But the closeness ensures that I cannot cheat by nuking them from far away while they run up to me.

    Also, yes my project is about 60 gigs. but I checked one of my builds of the game and it was only like 3 gigs. Not sure if it was a full build, probably not. I don't really know what the build size will be because I am having errors compiling it. I am copying all of the assets into a new project to see if that fixes the error.

    yes thats how it goes, your editor project could be 100gb and the build itself only 5gb, you have assets and stuff you don't really use inside the project folders, many demos, many models/textures etc. So your build will not be even close to your project folders size.

    Does anyone know how I can get rid of this error?

    Once I tried to build the game, it came up and won't go away. I tried putting all of my assets into a new project and there are so many it just would lock up. I want to work with my existing project, but a google search on this, does not give me much help. Please, if anyone knows, I would be very grateful.

  • thanks very much dlevel. I ended up destroying my project because many crucial scripts were giving warnings. so I deleted too much and ruined the project. My step now is to reimport all of my assets and hope the problem goes away. I have seen 2 posts where the person reimported the assets and it was gone. I might however have to delete, I just wont delete anything important, I hope it works.
  • keep a full backup, this is a must. BTW if you importing the project from the beginning, is a good chance to upgrade to 2017.1 (even .2 in a few days). So all this work will also benefit you with the new version.
