That's an awesome work around! In the Shortcut HUD, I'm trying to get the Icon to display. Do I need to add a Content Label in Shortcut Settings to make the item related icon display as part of the HUD?
What about a variation that simply shows when an NPC is holding a certain type? IE checks item box for item type and displays generalist prefab if any is detected
I'm actually trying to do this in the field as well. AKA set the rotation of the player controlled character when the player first changes to control it in the field. Would this still be through battle systems?
I managed to figure out, using Phase Battle, I'd spawned the combatant but it hadn't correctly joined the battle so I just needed another node. Is the place where the new combatant first spawns considered its new Base Waypoint?
@hellwalker Not grid but considering changing to grid. It's kind of Darkest Dungeon/Paper Mario and the want to position characters easily might be good in the grid system.

What node do I use to actually store the selected data? I think I understand how to access the selected data but I'm not sure I'm storing it correctly, do I use the Select Combatant node to Select or Store? or both?
I will work on this and see how it pans out! Haven't messed with global events yet but it definitely seems like this will be a much more efficient way to make ability timing consistent. Thanks for your time as always!
I'm sorry but what's an example of something I could put in the brackets to cancel out the momentum or velocity? I tried the movement speed but it seems the speed isn't what makes it keep moving after the disable
