Animation Problem With Turn Based Battle

I have set up my Player's Animations using the Default Animation Setup, and changing my Player Animations to suit. 'Legacy Animation 8' in the Default Section is ATTACK, my new one is (swordStrike3) which does the same action.

When the Player has it's first Hit at the Enemy it returns to the spawned spot, while waiting for the next attack. The problem is that my Player while waiting for it's next move keeps playing the swordStrike 3 Animation, striking thin air, when it should be in Idle Animation.

Help Please.

Well almost all my similar problems have relied around the wrap mode of the animations. Ie in your case just check so you don't have a loop wrap mode on your attack animation.

Also you could always edit your battle event and try add a combatant animation node and choose your animation and the check the stop box too see if that help. I have also noticed that sometimes it can help to add a wait node with like 0.1 sec between animations when I am experiencing problems.

I hope this may help you in your troubleshooting.

Thanks thrilled for your prompt reply, I checked all the WRAP Modes in my Animations, and found some of them incorrect, especially the ATTACK Animation.

I changed the suspect animations to Once only, but it made no difference to my problem, also tried the Stop Box idea, but unfortunately it did not solve the problem, although I am not very confident, being new to ORK.

If your setup is like in the game tutorials, the attack animation will only be started once (in the attack battle event). If it keeps playing, you've set it to loop. Also, check the layer setup of your animations (Base/Control > Animations) and if you're using an additional animation setup in battles, check if you're maybe overriding the idle animation with the wrong one ...

OPERATOR ERROR: It was the Attack Animation, thought I'd changed Loop to Once but I stuffed up, and it wasn't set properly. Working fine now.
