Anyone here familiar with sprites in the framework? I personally only have hand-on experience with 3D Mecanim animations.

Not the Unity sprites, I'm afraid. I use 2DTK (which admittedly presents its own difficult challenges).

Aren't the animations for the Unity sprites simple animations that can be used like the ones for 3D?
    There's no difference for ORK if it's 2D or 3D :)

  • Yes, I've totally forgotten that I could use Mecanim for sprites. Sorry about this.
  • I am using Mecanim for sprites with ORK in my new project : ). Works like a charm. I really love that the framework treats everything equally in that aspect, it's nice not having to relearn stuff.
  • @Tuxedose That's very comforting to know!
  • Wouldn't be a good idea to create a completely new way for treating animations, when there's everything handled nicely by Unity :D
