Is it possible to add the icon near while displaying the name of the actor in dialogue box?
I can show icons in dialogues with no problems (using resource folder), but i was asking myself if i could the icon near the name. Maybe there is a workaround, but i would like just to show the icon together with the name or maybe an icon near a ????? name while encountering an unknown character. :)
  • I have my names for the characters near their portraits if this is what you mean.

I use Own Position for the Portrait, Portrait Position 0, 0, Anchor Upper Left, Box Position Behind. I don't check Relative Position. And then for the name, just check Set Name.
  • Oh, does this way set the icon you use for the character in the icon setting, just after the name, in combatant box?
    I would like something like:
    --------
    # Name |
    -------------
    Dialogue ........ |
    -------------

Where # is the icon of the combatant. Did you manage to set this up? ^^

    Thanks Cat :)
  • You should be able to use icons/text codes in names, but you'll need to add them directly to the name you set up (e.g. in the actor). There's no text editor there, so you'll probably need to copy the codes from somewhere else if you don't know them :)

  • So it would be simple % i Name ?
Thanks, i will try it! :)
  • No, the % type text codes are only available in specific parts of the framework (where they're mentioned above the text fields). You'll need one of the # type codes, e.g. like the one for using an icon in the resources folder.
