I've been working on this particular project for about two months.

It's very early gameplay with lots of placeholders, but still, what do you guys think?

  • I like it. There isn't really anything to complain about for a two months old project, except for maybe the attack animations. But of course you knew that :). Can't wait until this develop more.

    I like it too. You show the damage to the opponent really clearly. : ) Except your fonts for it seem to be different. One damage shows small and one big. I would center the Victory Gains the player gets after winning a battle--make it a little lower. Should be "You are defeated." : ) No biggie.

    All in all I love the movement of your player. Very nice!

    The big damage numbers are for critical attacks, was that not clear enough?, i'm still thinking about what to do with the level up screen, the victory gains seems to be really lacking in options so i will be trying to make something better with an event, "You Defeated" is a reference to Dark Souls [http://i.imgur.com/lpdO5hQ.jpg], i will be changing it before release though.

  • yeah the attack animations are a little slow if there not legacy you can just set the speed in mecanim on the animation state.

    You are probably not going crazy, a couple of people pointed that out on reddit, gonna be adjusting it.
  • That combat is great! I love the attack scroll with the icons changing size. Very slick.
