    Quoting someone who said this about what it will take for us to get this and that I have a lot of respect for---

    "That's an extremely reasonable quote, considering the amount of work that has to go into it, and what the going rate per man hour for a programmer is. Like, way more than reasonable."

    I can see all the wonderful gameplay this will allow us to do.

    And it gets into the core of ORK so we can ask for all Gil's expertise asking for updates. Help us by little donations if you don't want to make the recommended one. But please let's add this--I'm dying to use it.

  • @hellwalker I believe that would be possible, it would be a matter of creating some formulas that tie a combatant's current Move Range value to the amount of AP (or whatever value) you set, and subtract the AP value with every action. It just kinda depends on how you want to set things up in ORK and how familiar you are with the tools.

    @robahouston Yep, FFT and Fire Emblem were definitely the two of my most referenced titles in writing the document.

    @Kirb Humm... Does the tilt site allow people that have already contributed to do more? I am wondering because maybe after Christmas, i might be able to further contribute to the effort.... maybe. I hope i can.

  • Well, I found out that if I wanted to contribute again, I could.

    I hit the contribute button and chose $1.00 and it asked me if I'd like to contribute again and then I hit no to see what would happen and I went back to the contribute page.

    So yes, it seems you can.

  • There is a project in assetstore, Name "Grids Pro", I don't know how to work with battle system. The author said "We created 30 games in 30 days using Grids". Just Reference resources.

    Hi, ZhaoYu, are you asking for help integrating that with ORK? Or just pointing out that it's out there?

    If you're asking for help, maybe make a thread in discussions.

    There are such stuffs in the asset store but in my humble opinion they are all lacking. I've been looking at them out of curiosity.

    We're trying to get something here that would be much more powerful as it would be integrated into ORK.

    But we could use a fairy godmother or godfather to make it happen. Juryiel wrote such a compelling post here-see below that I'm not even going to thank him in a follow up post--I think everyone should see what he wrote.

    I'm not actually that interested in this feature for my game but I contributed as an excuse to reward GiL's amazing product support . I hope it gets funded :) If you're not as interested in this feature for your own personal use but loved GiL's support of the already existing features in ORK consider contributing to this anyway :D It will improve ORK and increase its appeal to the general RPG making public since this type of battle system is a popular one, probably leading to more ORK sales.

    I think that is behind a lot of our support but also this would be a very useful addition to ORK. I was not that interested when the Tilt started--I thought it would be something I could use in the future--I donated because I love ORK--it helped me create games in a way that I really wanted to do but couldn't before I found it--- now I realize the extension here would really be useful and would make ORK a stronger engine and make my players happy.
