HOW exactly to use Behavior Designer with Ork....

I know Ork can work with any asset, but how do I plug in my AI character into Ork. I have the behavior tree created already. What nodes do I use in the event system to tell Ork that the AI is using Behavior Designer .

Also, with an external AI can they still be recognized at Ork combatants within Ork..?

Hard to tell without knowing more, e.g. is the AI used for movement or for attacks, or for both?

For both, especially the attacks.

In that case, don't use ORK's move AI and battle AI (enable Start AI Blocked in the combatant's AI settings. To start battle actions from behaviour designer, you'll either need to write that for BD, or call ORK events (that use the Use Battle Action step for starting actions) from BD. At least for real time battles.

OK so the easier one seems to be call Ork events to BD because I'm not literate in scripting yet
