okay, this is a 2-parter:

I have a status value (Strength), and i have a combatant (Player) with no status development, i just set his strength directly to 5.

the status value "Strength" has the following characteristics:
Type: Normal
Value Range 1-255

When I make a formula that sets the starting value to the status value, using the Status Value step, and setting it to User, and then testing the formula, i get 1 of 2 values, both wrong:
For one of my combatants, somehow the number 16 gets added to the value, so 21. If i change his strength value, 16 is always added
For all other combatants, 1 gets added to the value, so in this case 5 + 1 = 6

What is that about?

    Did a quick test and worked fine here - keep in mind that the formula test in the editor uses a newly created instance of the selected combatant, i.e. also using any starting equipment, passive abilities or status effects that might be applied.
