I want characters to have visible danger and peril states. Would this best be incorporated via status effects? And how would I have it apply automatically to all characters? Some sort of constant HP check and then something applies "Danger" or "Peril" when appropriate?
They also have auto apply/remove settings available, e.g. automatically applying the state when HP is below 20% (or whatever condition you want) and removing it when it's above.
