Questions about Battle Grid Highlights

Is there a way to highlight battle grids out of ability use range instead? I would like to highlight those grid with black sprite to emphasize use range of ability, like shown in the link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fvMLzzeEv89LdNw75LsiS8WT8OmHmc-v/view?usp=share_link

Or any other better way to implement this effect?

    Highlighting the not-use-range cells is currently not possible - but someting like this is probably doable via some shader/effect shenanigans?
