Hey GiL,
Is this new system they have coming for GUI's, gonna break the ORK API system for stuff? Have you been seeing the unity blog posts? See the link below... Looks great and more simple but looks like its a breaking type change.. I realize you cant think much about it till it materializes but just wondered about your initial impression.

The new UI system will be a boon though; I'm sure it'll be infinitely easier to add features like animated cursors, animated 2D UI elements, etc.
I doubt it'd break ORK right off the bat, as Unity will probably keep the legacy UI for a while.

ORK Framework will definitely support the new GUI system, but since I haven't seen much on the scripting part for it, it's hard to tell how long that'll take.
If it's anything near to NGUI in the scripting part, that will be a pain in the ass to do :D

Really excited about it though, Hopefully it won't be as much of a pain as NGUI
But yeah, since the NGUI dev was on the team for most of the development of it, the 4.6 GUI will be more or less an official unity version of NGUI, with a few differences. (Not that that's actually a bad thing :D)
Or so I've heard from people testing the new system out on beta builds! Excited to get that functionality into ORK eventually. As much as NGUI can be a pain, the benefits are well worth it over the current unity GUI.
