This is handled in the schematics animating your action - the details depend on how your summon system works.
E.g. summoning an additional combatant to fight on your side can be done using a Join Battle node, which lets you also join the combatant to an existing group or in it's own group (e.g. in a faction allied to the player). This node also lets you mark the combatant as temporary, which makes it easy to remove it later (via Remove Temporary Combatant node).
