edited April 2015 in ORK Support
Just updated to unity 5 and updated ork ever thing went pretty good until I noticed that my enemies aren't moving around they will attack when close and preform their ainimations correctly. I thought that it might be the navmesh so I cleard the mesh and rebaked it
but that hasent helped .
the move ai worked perfectly before the update Has anyone eles had this problem?

Try switching to the built-in movement component in the move AI - if that's working, it's most likely still something with navmesh :)
Will need a character controller on your enemy prefabs.

  • I have Changed my AI to the built in movement and that worked So I now know that its with the navmesh I have tried rebakeing and changing settings every way I could think of but nothing has worked .
When I first loaded the scene This is the message I got ( NavMesh asset format has changed. Please rebake the NavMesh data.) Any thoughts?
  • Probably best to check the Unity forums for that, I bet you're not the only one with NavMesh issues after updating to Unity 5 :)

I don't think your problems are ORK related. I've been checking the Unity forums for quite awhile now since Unity 5 was released and it seems there are NavMesh issues. I had some issues myself when I updated. We just have to wait for those issues to be fixed in Unity. They are trying very hard and eventually it will all be golden.

When I had a problem, someone pm'd me to replace my navmesh--now I don't know if rebaking and replacing are the same. So...if you can replace as opposed to rebake maybe that would help.

Someone here had the same problem as you I think but no answer yet:

And I found another similar problem with no answer.

And from what I googled so far the best result is to rebake the NavMesh data. But no real answer for the problem.

  • navmeshes do need to be rebaked a few times to make sure they get the full lay of the land alot of the issue is the new way they handle height unlike u4's namesh system its was fully revamped an wont work correctly when upgraded to unity 5. just mess with the new nav mesh settings till you get it to how it was before.
