I've run into a strange issue with Moving Damage Dealer Triggers not seeming to trigger under certain circumstances.

Take a look.

What I have here is basically an ability that spawns a damage dealer projectile which then moves upward. As you can see, if the projectile is spawned overlapping an enemy combatant's damage zone, the damage is triggered perfectly. The same goes for enemy combatants that were further above the ground: when the projectile reached them, it did damage.

However, all enemies at a certain height were impossible to hit unless I jumped or spawned the projectile at a different height so they would overlap. It seems like the trigger does not recognize any overlapping for the first .5-1 seconds or so, unless it was spawned on top of the damage zone already. I don't have this problem with static colliders, so this seems like an issue with moving damage dealers specifically.

Is this an ORK issue or a Unity issue, do you think?


(At the end of the video, it displays another bug I mentioned a while ago: if using an ability that costs a consumable value, and then using the ability with the last of the 'MP,' the damage dealer does not activate.)
