So i have gone though the forums looking on how exactly u added some kind of collider to a player your spawning an i cant find any detailed info on this. i know my character works fine with a collider i have tested it with plygame and just a reg cam an character controller an my character does not fall through the map. So any info on this would be great. Even a little tutorial would be nice.
Ok fixed the falling through the ground by making a new prefab of my character within unity an adding a character controller basically how u do this is by taking the character an merging it into a newly created prefab so that u can add scripts to it from there dont delete the original. now im just wondering about adding legacy animations.
I use first person but I'm sure this would work with third person also.
Put your player in the scene and tag it Player. Add a character controller and make sure it fits around your player snugly. You do this by just adding Component Physics Character Controller to your Player figure. You also have to add an Interaction Controller. There is a tutorial on doing all this. Then make a prefab of your player somewhere in your project and slide what you created onto that prefab. This will be the Player that you will spawn.
I use a custom character controller script for moving but you can use anything you want to. You can use legacy animations for your player.
I've used Legacy animations and they work very well. Set them up in your player.
How about starting with the game tutorials? They teach pretty much everything you need to get you started, but you need some basic Unity knowledge :)
