I'm trying to check which ability type is being used during my cast battle event. (fire magic, arcane magic, etc.). The nodes Is Casting Ability and Check Status is casting do not appear to work in my use case (turn based battle). From this link http://forum.orkframework.com/discussion/6514/variable-casting-times it sounds like they are only for time based.

Is there a way to check what type of ability is being used in a turn based battle event?

If not, I can make separate events for each ability type if necessary.

I don't think that's currently possible. While you can access the used ability of a battle event via selected data key action, there's no node to check the ability's ability type.

Casting is also available in turn based battles, but probably not really useful in most cases :)
