Im not sure if you've viewed animation clips before but they are located in your character fbx file. When you click on that fbx file, you should see three tabs which are Model, Rig, Animations. Click on the Animation tab and scroll down till you see "Root Transformation Rotation". Check the "Bake Into Pose" and adjust the offset. Now, your probably going to have to go to battle a few times to properly adjust to your preference. Now, I hope that fixed that issue ^_^
Well, my first question is did you miss with the runToTarget or runToBase event?
Go to your character fbx file and re-rig your character and adjust the rotation of it so its facing the right way.
