Can't really see the picture, but you need to use a Change Game Variables node for that. E.g. used in an Autostart event in the scene to set the battle scene for that scene.

Set Value Type to Value, since you directly define the variable's key. The Game Variable value type means that the key you're using is stored in another game variable.

Im using "Change Game Variables"
Yariable Origin: Global
Value Type: Game Variable
Value: targetSceneName (the name of the variable i placed in the battle start event)
Type: String
Value Type: Value
Value: battle_room_prison (the name of the battle scene)
I attempted to use "scene name" under value type instead but it seems like that is for the current scene, instead of leading to a different scene.
