yep, ok, the simple things you overlook when your looking too hard... that was exactly it. Had the character controller assigned to the enemy as well which in turn was messing with the camera...

@gamingislove I set it up the same as the tutorial so it's the Crafting menu part, I couldn't find anything in the tut's about the Crafting List menu.
I enabled the add Back button and that shows in the Crafting box, but that is all.
I'm getting closer playing around with different variables.
I now have my npc walking from waypoint 1 to waypoint 2 and it looks great, except when it get's to waypoint 2 it just sits there spinning around in a circle and doesn't go to waypoint 3.…
@Firrerreo - ok, with root motion off it's better but still get's stuck at the first waypoint, it's like it doesn't quite make it there...
