going to be changing the art style a bit to be a bit more simpler for me to do things as of now with the current style its taking to long to do simple animations. so over the course of the next few days i should have a new character designed
Updated Thread title with new game name. this is due to the Change in art style and the change of story. also updated first post with more info. as well as deleting all post that had obsolete vids and images since game rework. once again check first post for more details.
Fantastic! Instead of a hero, he looks like he's just searching for the best Mcdonald store in the world :D The arts make this game look very depressing, but either way, I like it. Wish I was as good as you in the art side. I once tried to make a grass texture in gimp/blender and it looked horrible as heck.
@Shadow_Fire i like dark dingy worlds more then the bright ones. i think dark dingy worlds have more feeling to them then a bright ones.And dont let up on the art stuff. it just takes practice. The more you practice the better it will become.
@Catacomber I'm glad i can be someones hero! * tear drop* This art style comes from sword and sworcery type style with a bit more detail character wise. then the rest is just my own way of doing pixel art.
It's all about creating your own style and your own game. I think you are on the right track with your pixel art--and on mobile 2d is better performance wise than 3d. The more I think about it for mobile, 2d is the way to go.
@Catacomber performance is more based on engine than 2d or 3d. unreal uses its 3d engine for its 2d engine. but unreal has some of the highest benchmarks for 3d on mobile as well since they optimized the engine to run on mobile as well as top tier machines. which unity is a bit lacking in the sense of optimization. i have seen some amazing mobile games that are 3D. but its all based on systems and how well you optimize everything.
@Shadow_Fire im not releasing any gameplay stuff intill i can make a vid of it. mainly because im still working on world design and havent been able to touch any of my game play stuff yet. since after creating it and testing it. it might end up changing . but i will post a vid of game play once i get there :)
