3rd Party Combat

Hey guys ive been away for a while just seen 2.1.8 update (im still on 2.1.5) was curious if any ways of combat changed? what kept me away was doing combo attacks in realtime and having a tough time getting it the way i like....
im wondering if i can just script my combat using mecanim or maybe something like GAC from asset store,
and reference ork framework (seeing if move is unlocked, or player a certain level) to keep things inline?

Sure, shouldn't be too much trouble with custom scripts. E.g. accessing a game object's combatant is explained in this
