First vid up sorry for poor quality also scene changes do take time due to my laptop not being top of the line. will update vid when got more stuff added. (npc's partical's) but as you can see from the vid it is a tad laggy but thats due to having firefox unity and tinytake open all at the same time so this game will be playable on laptops with built in graphic chips
Your work is very artistic. And the result is extremely pleasing. : )
EDIT: Just watched the video. Looks good. Can you move the camera a little bit closer to her in the interior scene? It's hard for me to see her figure.
I really like your direction for the GUI and the art in general - it's all very warm and inviting, and I might even add, charming. The font on the dialogue box might be a smidge hard to read, but that could just be a product of my bad eyesight and the image being smaller than the intended resolution.
@Firrerreo yeah im basically waiting to see how it will render out once i got a demo going. if the font gets to hard to read then ill just have to change it. since the story line is what is most important int he game. ill test it on different resolutions tomorrow and if its to hard to read then ill go for a normal font. thanks for the input it helps alot :)
added a new pic to get some input the new pic shows some lanterns with particles added to them attached to the houses now i also have particles in the door ways to show places that can be entered. now is this to much? because im also thinking of just getting rid of the door particles all together but not sure if the lanterns particles are going over board
Personally, I liked the lanterns. It adds a sense of warmth to the scene with the art style you are using (which I like)
The doorway particles, I'm neutral on. I'm an old gamer and can figure out if I can enter that building or not ---by actually trying to walk into it :)
@keyboardcowboy lol i was thinking the exact same thing on the doorway particles. Thanks for your input i think i will be going with the whole no doorway particles thing.
I think you should ditch the door particles. : ) That's the type of thing the point and click adventure games would use especially for older players whose eyes weren't so good vis-a-vis seeing important targets on the screen. : ) Most of us can see the doors. : ) And walk into them.
Besides if you do this for mobile, the fewer particles you have in the scene the better. Eats up frame rate really fast.
yeah im ditching the door particles. mobile will be coming later but i got to replace all models in scene with lower poly ones figure id do the pc version first then mobile but at least porting it just means swapping models!
